Homemade Loose Powder (for face)
I have a lot of trouble with break outs, and this powder has been great for me! Before learning to make my own, I used Cover Girl loose powder...this homemade powder covers just as well, if not better than CG, and it lasts longer too!
Please note: I eyeballed my measurements and you will have to also, to get the shade that you want.
The powder will cover the first day and you will be able to match it to your skin tone, but don't be alarmed if it doesn't smooth on as well as drug store powder.
Within a few days, it always covers much better!
I'm not really sure why, but just something I have noticed.
Now, here's how you do it...
Go to your pantry, and see if you have cornstarch and cocoa powder. Organic, non-GMO is the best option, but if you only have the regular stuff, you can give it a try with what you have on hand. :)
Start with 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part cocoa, and go from there (likely adding more cornstarch, a little at a time.)
Once you get the desired match and consistency, put it in a container with an air-tight lid, and apply with your normal powder brush! That easy! BAM!
TRY IT! And let me know your opinion in the comments :)
Some cool facts:
Cocoa has many health benefits, especially for your skin!
It renews and firms new skin cells, and is hydrating to your skin!
Cornstarch is known to absorb excess oil, draw out bacteria, as well as provide relief from skin irritations.
